Talk 01

Manual Making as a Revelation of the Sacred — Body, Technique, and Imagination

2:30 PM – 3:00 PM

Duration: 30 min

Speaker: Ana Calbucci

Ana Calbucci invites a deep dive into manual making as a practice of presence and connection. Far from being limited to production or technique, the artisan's gesture is understood as a rite — a revelation of the sacred that inhabits the everyday. Between body, material, and imagination, the creative act transforms into a space for listening and metamorphosis, where shaping the world is also shaping oneself. Inspired by Eliade, Bachelard, Heidegger, and Jung, the reflection explores the sacredness of the gesture, the silent pedagogy of the material, and the symbolic power that emerges from the encounter between hand and imagination. By creating, the artist not only gives form but inaugurates worlds and opens passages between the visible and the invisible.

Talk 02

Online:

Latin American Contemporary Jewelry and its Material Vitalism

3:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Duration: 30 min

Speaker: Carmen Tapia

Carmen Tapias explores Latin American contemporary jewelry, highlighting the vigor of its materiality. The work arises from a continuous dialogue between creator and material, in which the elements — fragile or resistant, precious or simple — actively participate in the development of the piece. Unlike idealistic approaches that reduce matter to mere support, Latin American jewelry values the sensitive, temporal, and transformative nature of materials, revealing processes that are experienced body-to-body and establishing a direct relationship between elaboration and meaning.

Talk 03

Jewelry as Artistic Language

3:30 PM – 4:00 PM

Duration: 30 min

Speaker: Roxana Casale em conversa com Jessica Morillo

Roxana Casale and Jessica Morilo discuss jewelry as an artistic practice, showing how the creation of pieces goes beyond the aesthetic object to become a gesture of resistance, memory, and social activation. The conversation addresses the use of repurposed materials, ancestral techniques, and sensitive processes, demonstrating how jewelry transforms into a device of presence and expression, capable of dialoguing with the body.

Talk 04

Entre o Gesto de Vestir e Investir

4:00 PM – 4:30 PM

Duration: 30 min

Speaker: Chrissie Barban in conversation with Thiago Freitas

Chrissie Barban dialogues with collector Thiago Freitas about how the act of collecting contemporary jewelry transcends material value, becoming a gesture of deep listening. Each piece of jewelry constitutes a living manifesto, laden with stories and symbolic meanings. Thiago shares his experience as a collector, revealing how contemporary jewelry can be appreciated far beyond its materiality, assuming multiple layers of significance.

Talk 05

Online:

The Body as a Place of Inscription

4:30 PM – 5:00 PM

Duration: 30 min

Speaker: Patricia Iglesias

Patricia Iglesias addresses the body as a space of inscription and experience, where contemporary jewelry becomes a vehicle for emotion and personal narrative. Unlike a purely aesthetic function, each piece acts as an extension of the creator's body and biography, transforming into an archive of experiences and existential questions. Through the dialogue between creation and sensory perception, Iglesias proposes a reflection on how jewelry can mediate identity, affections, and processes of meaning, constituting itself as a silent witness to the human experience.

Talk 06 and Closing

Resistance, Expansion, and Permanence: There is no greater resistance than continuing to walk…

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Duration: 60 min

Speaker: Titi Berrio
